jQuery for iPhone & iPad
We have been playing around with a comic idea for a client to be viewed across a number of browser based devices.
iPhone and iPad are two of those devices and without developing a specific app we needed to find a way for the user to be able to navigate around the page through a touch gesture. jQuery seemed to have answer…
There are a number of jQuery plugins for iPhone specific development. We found this one particularly useful: http://plugins.jquery.com/project/swipe
For further reading there is a good article here:

We will upload a demo of what we have working in the next few days. So watch this space.

The Konami Code
The Konami Code (↑, ↑, ↓, ↓, ←, →, ←, →, B, A)
If you are not a child of the 80’s or a big computer games fan then the above probably means nothing to you. So I’ll explain… The Konami Code was first used in the 1985 arcade game Gradius, on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986. Entering the code gave gives the player a full set of power-ups or access to secret levels, which are normally attained gradually throughout the game.
Since then the Konami Code has been written into dozens of games, and more recently Facebook, Digg and the Google Reader, check them out to see some bizarre outcomes. To see it in use on some other sites check out konamicodesites.com
We are currently using it for a client project. We can’t say more than that at this stage but we will let you know more when we can.
